For a journalist, perhaps the tool of choice that comes to mind is a voice recorder — the device that can record the voices that tell the stories we work actively to share. But for me, there is something indescribable that comes through photographs; they are more than just images of the past, they carry memories. And more than any voice recorder, the stories they tell often speak much louder than any audio file.

After all, a picture is worth 1,000 words …
